Space furnished a sizable number of urban apartments for the millennial market across a client’s build-to-rent complexes in Leeds and Sheffield.
During the summer of 2019, Space carried out the furnishing of 79 units (studios, 1 and 2 bed and show apartments) across a client's build-to-rent sites in the north of England: 52 apartments in Sheffield’s Velocity Village, and 27 in Headingley Park in Leeds.
In Sheffield’s Velocity Village, all 52 units had to be fully furnished to tie in with completion of refurbishment work. This was an active residential site, so all work had to be carried out to suit current tenants and avoid any disturbances. Similarly, in Headingley Park in Leeds, the 27 units had to be furnished in one phase to fit in with new tenants moving in dates the following week. Along with full furniture packages and show apartments, we were also instructed to window dress all apartments, including blinds. All suites had to be kitted out with a younger millennial and student market in mind.
Following careful consideration of the London-based client’s brief, Space installed furniture into a central London property “show apartment” to showcase the inventory we proposed for this scheme, facilitating easy product selection for our client. This also afforded us a great opportunity to discuss colour schemes and specification with the client at length, allowing the client to test and visualise the furniture options before being committed. Following approval on our package, Space delivered a smooth and complete turnkey service in accordance with the required timescales in each location, ready for viewings and new tenancies.
